Tailoring Patient Care Using Novel Agents in Metastatic Urothelial Carcinoma
STRATEGIES FOR THE INTERPROFESSIONAL TEAM
Activity Description
This 60 minute Community Connections Grand Rounds activity will focus on emerging trial data for antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs) for the use in bladder cancer; sequence optimization, combinatorial therapy utilization, and identification of when and in which patients to use ADCs; and anticipation, recognition, and management of treatment-related adverse events (TRAEs) in patients with metastatic urothelial cancer (mUC).
Target Audience
Community oncologists, urologists, physician associates (PAs), nurse practitioners (NPs), nurses, and pharmacists
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:
- Assess the evidentiary base for antibody drug conjugates (ADCs) in metastatic disease, including regulatory updates, recent readouts, and current expert consensus guideline recommendations
- Utilize evidence from pivotal clinical trials in metastatic urothelial cancer (mUC) to develop personalized ADC-based treatment regimens based on patient- and disease-specific characteristics
- Implement an interprofessional approach to adverse event (AE) anticipation, recognition, and management for patients with mUC treated with ADC-based regimens
