Advancing Cervical Cancer Care
Navigating New Therapies, Guidelines, and Patient-Centric Approaches
Activity Description
Delayed diagnosis of cervical cancer often leads to poor prognosis and lower survival rates, especially in advanced stages. Recent advancements, including immune-checkpoint inhibitors and ADCs, offer new hope for managing advanced cervical cancer, but there are significant gaps in knowledge and practice that need to be addressed, especially in the community setting. The goal of this educational initiative is to help clinicians personalize treatment plans by applying current guidelines and therapy knowledge, while also addressing clinical challenges and disparities in care to improve patient outcomes.
Target Audience
Community-based gynecologic oncologists, OB/GYNs, physician associates (PAs), pharmacists, nurse practitioners (NPs), and nurses caring for patients with r/m cervical cancer
Learning Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to better:
- Evaluate the evolving treatment landscape for advanced cervical cancer, including the use of chemotherapy, radiation therapy, immunotherapy, ADCs, and insights from ongoing clinical trials
- Develop individualized treatment plans for advanced cervical cancer by applying guideline recommendations and therapy knowledge, considering both clinical and non-clinical patient-specific factors
