Target Audience

North American and internationally based Junior Faculty, Fellows, Postdoctoral Researchers, and PhD students (MDs, DOs, PhDs, and PhD students) involved in neurofibromatosis research.


Learning Objectives

  1. Apply effective public speaking and scientific communication strategies to clearly present and defend neurofibromatosis (NF) research findings to multidisciplinary scientific audiences
  2. Implement strategies for community‑building, networking, and collegial collaboration with peers and mentors in rare disease research to enhance productivity and career advancement in NF
  3. Collaborate with expert investigators and peers to address key career development challenges in NF research, including grant writing, research funding, and academic advancement pathways
  4. Evaluate strengths and weaknesses of NF research presented by peers, including study design, endpoints, and translational relevance
  5. Integrate patient‑centered insights and real‑world perspectives into NF research collaboration and study design to enhance relevance and application to clinical practice
